Project Coordinator

Our Land Development Planning & Entitlement Department has an immediate opening in our fast paced, multidisciplined firm for a highly motivated and skilled Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role within the firm. In this position, you will assist in the project management of Commercial, Industrial, and Residential Land Development projects from land acquisition through project entitlements. This position plays a vital role in delivering projects and meeting client expectations. There is opportunity for growth and is an ideal position for candidates who desire to learn as you interface with all facets of land development services provided by WEBB --due diligence, planning, entitlements, engineering, survey, mapping, traffic, landscape, and CEQA. Salary range: $23.55 - $32.00 hourly

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager in meeting client expectations, managing project schedules and deliverables, as well as preparing project proposals
  • Assist in resolving client and agency inquires and performs basic research to support teams and projects on permits, planning, zoning, and clearances
  • Attend meetings and establish professional relationships with clients and agencies
  • Have clear communication and follow up to obtain land use approvals or permits
  • Maintain and report on all aspects of project status including agency review of plans and reports
  • Establish and maintain tracking and filing systems for all projects within the department
  • Complete applications and submittals accurately and in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate cooperation and coordination of project information with clients, project team, and internal departments
  • Deliver documents to outside agencies and clients
  • Excellent proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills
  • Arrange meetings, establish agendas, take minutes, and distribute to project team, client, and agencies, with pro-active follow up on outstanding issues and tasks to ensure projects’ forward momentum
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders involved in land development
  • Conduct project research using a variety of resources

Requirements

  • Previous experience within the Planning, Entitlement, Land Development, Civil Engineering or Architectural industry a plus
  • Familiarity with industry processes, terminology, and services offered by the firm.
  • Excellent project management skills and results driven
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on accuracy, thoroughness and meeting deadlines
  • Maintain a high level of service for all clients and agencies
  • Ability to work within a team and adjust to a variety of management and communication styles
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to handle frequent changes, delays, and unforeseen events
  • Effective management and prioritization of workload to meet tight deadlines and commitments
  • Integrity, reliability, enthusiasm, and a team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to present yourself in a professional manner at all times, both in demeanor and attire
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work
  • California Driver’s License with a good driving record and willingness and ability to travel for firm
