The North Indio Regional Flood Control Channel Project is a key component of the Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) flood protection mission in the Coachella Valley. The project will complete the link between existing flood control facilities in the North Indio area, providing increased flood protection for the region.
The project consists of over three miles of concrete lined trapezoidal, rectangular, and underground box culvert channels including eleven crossings of existing and future streets, and four connections to existing flood control facilities. To date, WEBB has completed the final plans, specifications, cost estimates, environmental documentation, and CLOMR for the entire project.
WEBB has also provided construction support services for the first phase, a half-mile segment of the overall project that is scheduled for completion by July 2019. In addition, WEBB is currently in the process of finalizing the property acquisitions needed for the construction of the remainder of the project and will be providing support when construction begins.
